I Haven't Used a Bra in Years – Here's What I'll Wear

When I was 13 (and finally started going through adolescence), all I wanted was to start wearing a bra . At age 14, all I wanted was to stop stop to wear a bra . I quickly learned what most of us already know-that bras are usually uncomfortable, rigid, and cut into your under-boob area. The most comfortable part of my day was when I got home and removed my bra. So I decided to stop wearing all bras altogether.

This brought challenges, however, because I was not yet quite comfortable with the idea of going braless . So I decided to dip my fingers in the water by circling the many bra alternatives-all of which are definitely more comfortable than my go-to underwire bra. If you, too, want to leave the bras without completely abandoning the support and shape they offer, keep scrolling to find some great bra alternatives that have continued with my ladies (and me) who have been happy throughout the years.

It's as comfortable as wearing a thin shirt, but the secret is that you're wearing a shirt under a shirt, thus keeping your breasts supported and cradled in a comfortable , elastic, no wire material.

In the latter part of ' 00, I wear a bandeau over my bra in some kind of weird fashion statement of the time (I’m pretty sure we all went through that part in middle school). However, these days, I drop the bra and I just wear the bandeau anytime going strapless is appropriate.

Bodysuits are particularly fun because you can effectively get rid of any underwear and just throw on a bodysuit . No bra? No undies? No problem. Plus, it can act like a shirt. That's a three-in-one deal if I've seen one.

My pasties have already saved me from many dangerous nip-slip situations. So I wanted to wear super deep V-cut shirts and dresses on occasion-sue me. My pasties have always been the hero of the day.

Okay, yeah, it has the word bra here, but the "-lette" suffix makes all the difference. Wireless, loose, and extremely comfortable, bralettes are my favorite alternative when wearing a loose T-shirt.

After dipping your foot in the water along with the other bra alternatives listed above, you may decide to run away and remove your bras together. It’s comfortable and relaxing on this side – come on.

No bra needed here!
