Julia Turshen has always loved two things: food and writing. This is not surprising considering his extensive achievements in the publishing industry and . Turshen’s impressive list of accolades includes the author’s best-selling; reputable food writer with words published in The New York Times The Wall Street Journal Vogue Bon Appétit and more; food equity advocate and founder of Table Equity; and host the Keep Calm and Cook On podcast. There is no denying that Turshen’s passion is not only in the kitchen but also in bringing his love for food to the world around him. The New York Times described him as a "leader of the new generation of authentic, approachable authors."
Turshen collaborated and authored more than 10 cookbooks with a variety of cuisines from Vietnamese dishes to bread from around the world, and in 2016, he published his first cooking book, Small Success: Recipes, Tips + Hundreds of Ideas for Home Cooking Success. This book was recognized by NPR and The New York Times and h as the second book, Feed the Resistance, was named Best Eater Cookbook of 2017 . In 2018, Turshen's third book was honored as Amazon's Best Cookbook of the Year and a Great Read by NPR. Today, Turshen is releasing her fourth book, Simple Julia on March 2, featuring a healthier perspective on the enjoyable but simple comfort food she is known for.
