You’ve probably heard about the many health benefits of consuming extra virgin olive oil (“EVOO”) because of the high antioxidant content. Even just two teaspoons a day has been shown to be game changing for a healthy gut and reduced inflammation. But what about for skin?

Kosterina is a new beauty brand based entirely around the centuries old skincare benefits of EVOO, so we thought who better to chat with than the brand founder about this very topic.

“Not all EVOO is the same,” says Kosterina founder Katerina Mountanos. “We harvest the Koroneiki olive ‘the queen of olives,’ which is recognized globally as one of the preferred varietals for its high levels of polyphenol and is known to reduce inflammation, providing incredible health benefits for your body and skin.”

I Almost Wish I'd Gate-Kept These 30 Spring Arrivals From Neiman Marcus

Every now and then, something spurs my inner splurger and until I treat myself to something shiny and new, I can’t seem to think about any thing else. When that happens, 9 times out of 10, I’ll head over to Neiman Marcus, either online or in person, to really bask in the luxury experience. But this time when I felt it coming on, I found a lot more than one item I wanted to invest in. Rather, I found 30, each one more perfect for spring than the next.

In total, I scrolled through more than 4,000 items, so really, it’s a miracle that I was able to edit my wishlist down to just 30 pieces, especially given the quality of the retailer’s current offering. From cashmere polos and pencil skirts from The Row to studded ballet flats courtesy of JW Anderson, the list ahead is a treasure trove … Read more

Designer To Watch: Poolside Founder Ashleigh Stone

Launched in 2016 by Ashleigh Hults during a winter trip to St. Barths, Poolside quickly went viral with their eye-catching, hand-embroidered straw bags. Inspired by French market totes and embellished with cheeky pop culture references, you can now also custom order your very own, picking size, phrase/word and color.

Since bursting onto the scene, the brand has also expanded into many other shapes and styles, creating bags regularly worn by the likes of Gwyneth Palthrow, Priyanka Chopra, Reese Witherspoon, Molly Sims, Romee Strijd, Emily Ratajkowski and other fashionable women around the globe. The brand’s DNA, however, remains irreverent, luxe beach vibe.

We chatted with founder Ashleigh Hults to find out more about Poolside, her background and what’s to come.

Every Cool Handbag In 2023 is Showcasing These 7 "It" Colors

In due time (hopefully sooner than later), puffers and gloves will be a thing of the past, so let’s shift focus to a few spring trends to celebrate the occasion. From minaudières to slouchy carryalls, we’ve already seen this season’s handbags take shape in several diverse forms. But of course, it’s not just the silhouettes that we’re excited about. The spring runways also had loads of punchy pigments on both clothing and accessories on the menu. Ferragamo sent an array of powerful red looks down its red runway, and Miu Miu reminded us why lime green can really go with everything.

While neutral shades like rich brown and tan were common themes amongst designer collections, expect to find a fair share of fun shades in the mix. To find out what they are, get comfortable and keep scrolling to read the tones every handbag will be showcasing this spring. And … Read more

I Spent Years Using the Wrong Concealer for My Oily Skin—This Was My Mistake

During my time as a beauty editor, I’ve learned a lot about skincare and makeup in general, but I’ve also made some pretty important discoveries about my own skin and how it reacts to different products (joys of the job). Growing up, my skin was always extremely oily, something I spent years fighting with harsh scrubs and drying acne medications (lesson learned). Now though, I find that my skin gets dehydrated but remains oily on the surface. You can imagine this makes shopping for makeup products like foundation and concealer really tricky.

I finally learned that matte products just don’t work well for me—they leave my skin even more dehydrated and looking flaky. I then turned to hydrating formulas that are still noncomedogenic and that seemed to do the trick. If you have a similar problem, you’re going to want to keep reading. I spoke to a dermatologist to clear … Read more
